Refund & Cancellation Policy
General principles for programme deposits, cancellations and refunds.
Draft for review before online payment is enabled. The cancellation schedule in a signed proposal or booking agreement takes precedence.
Deposits
Deposits secure programme planning, educators and venues. Unless a proposal states otherwise, deposits are non-refundable once CEIC has committed costs to third parties.
Cancellation by the client
Refunds depend on the notice given and costs already committed. CEIC will identify non-recoverable third-party costs and any balance eligible for refund. Participant substitutions may be accepted where practical.
Cancellation or postponement by CEIC
If CEIC cancels and cannot provide a suitable alternative, payments received for the cancelled service will be refunded. CEIC is not responsible for independently booked travel or related consequential losses unless agreed in writing.
How to request a refund
Email info@cambridgeceic.org.uk with the booking reference, payer name, reason and relevant evidence. Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method where possible; bank and payment-provider processing times vary.
Consumer rights
Nothing in this policy limits statutory consumer rights. Bespoke programmes, dated events and services already begun may be subject to different cancellation rights.
